To all the generous educators who have joined our HSA homeschool community, I would like to take this moment to clarify the core principle of HAS (Hong Kong Homeschool Association).
I was invited to lead the Hong Kong homeschool community because of what I built through my own homeschooling journey. Over the past four years, I have held this role with one core principle: our community must remain free from profit‑making. Even when I had to fund operations myself, I chose to protect this value.Paris (my daughter) and I have spent many late nights building a free learning‑and‑teaching ecosystem so homeschooling mothers can teach with confidence. This work came with real resistance, especially from people who wanted to turn the community into a profit‑making platform. Protecting the integrity of the community has never been easy, but it has always been necessary.
Below is my closing speech for the Special Education Talk at 2:00 p.m. on March 6, 2026.
“As we come to the close of today’s gathering, I want to end with the belief that defines HSA: people help people, families lift families. If something you learned today has brought clarity, strength, or hope to your parenting journey, let that insight ripple outward. Share it with another family who may need encouragement. Let one family’s growth become another family’s hope.”
