Teaching homeschoolers fills me with joy—they are curious, engaged, and truly remarkable learners. Every moment with them reaffirms why this mission matters.

Today marks one of the most meaningful days of my life
I officially launched a volunteer teaching initiative to support homeschool and out-of-school students in Hong Kong. This moment is the culmination of relentless effort, emotional hurdles, and a deep desire to uplift those who have been educationally marginalized.
Restructuring the Hong Kong Homeschool Association was no easy feat. Guiding it toward a new vision—one rooted in free, volunteer-based tutoring—meant facing resistance and enduring moments of despair. There were times I wanted to give up. In fact, I did once. I questioned why a sincere heart devoted to giving back could be met with such calculated opposition. But today reminded me why I returned.
This morning, I reconnected with Rhory, a wonderful author I met at a book signing event in Los Angeles. When I shared the challenges homeschool families face in Hong Kong, Rhory responded with unwavering kindness and full support. His encouragement lit up the day and reminded me that compassion still thrives in this world.
But the most radiant moment came during our first lesson with the children. Their smiles—genuine, eager, and full of hope—were the purest form of encouragement I’ve ever received. These kids are not just learners; they are dreamers, fighters, and beacons of possibility. Their willingness to learn, despite the odds, is the reason I will never give up again.
Teaching homeschoolers fills me with joy—they are curious, engaged, and truly remarkable learners. Every moment with them reaffirms why this mission matters.
I’m deeply grateful to the homeschool educators who invited me back to lead the association and to those who sent private messages urging me to keep going. Your words, though small in form, carried immense weight. They helped me rise above the obstacles and reminded me that I am walking the right path.
This project is more than a teaching initiative. It’s a movement of hope, resilience, and community. I am committed to building a well-structured volunteer teaching program that ensures every homeschool and out-of-school student in Hong Kong has access to quality learning and a brighter future.
Kindness shines. Smiles heal. And today, hope was reborn.
