He earned his Ph.D. in Human Resource Management from Honolulu University, complementing his academic journey with master's degrees in Knowledge Management, Strategic Human Resources Management, and E-Commerce from prestigious institutions such as Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong Baptist University, and City University of Hong Kong.
Dr. Tam has a robust teaching background, serving as a lecturer at institutions including the University of Tasmania, Hong Kong Institute of Technology, and various universities and colleges. He has delivered lectures on Human Resources, Marketing, and IT-related subjects, mentoring students across degree and diploma programs. His contributions extend beyond teaching, as he has also taken on leadership roles, including Hospitality and Criminology Program Leader.
In addition to academia, Dr. Tam has substantial industry experience. He has held senior HR positions in leading companies such as Crystal International Group Limited, YEA Technology Limited, and Hong Kong Airlines, where he played key roles in recruitment, compensation and benefits, HR analytics, and business partnering. As a Partner at ARAL Holdings Limited, he has been instrumental in business development, project management, and consultancy services, specializing in hiring strategies and workforce solutions.
Dr. Tam is a recognized figure in the human resources field, holding professional memberships, including the Hong Kong Institute of Human Resources Management, and serving as Chairman of The Association of KM Practitioners. His expertise is further demonstrated through his involvement in consultancy projects focusing on performance management for organizations such as Sure Win Driving Centre and Crystal International Group Limited.
