Denis Miles-Vinall

(Career & Soft Skill Training Consultant of HSA)

 

Denis Miles-Vinall is British and has lived in Hong Kong for over 20 years. His family is multicultural including both English and Hong Kong Chinese, which means he even speaks some Cantonese. 

Denis owns and runs a corporate learning business in Hong Kong where he provides leadership, sales, communication, negotiation and executive presence programmes to international organisations and universities. In the past 11 years he has delivered learning to over 22,000 people in 21 countries. 

 

Denis has over 25 years corporate experience leading teams within Banking, Learning & Development and Talent Acquisition industries. He has held leadership roles in global organisations including Bank of America Merrill Lynch and RBS Coutts, based in Hong Kong. He was a Head of Recruitment, responsible for hiring talent for the Graduate programmes and Senior Executives.

 

Denis has been delivering learning since 2003. As the Chief Trainer and Head of Human Resources for Learning Technologies Ltd he hired, trained and led a team of 70 people delivering over 100 learning events per month. 

 

Denis is a certified ICF Executive Coach. He is also a certified DISC consultant and holds Human Resource Management and Banking & Finance Compliance (AML/CTF, Asset Management Regulation) qualifications from Hong Kong University, Leicester University and Salford University. He currently teaches on MBA and Masters programmes at CUHK, HK Baptist University, Hong Kong University and City University. 

 

Throughout his career, Denis has been mentoring and coaching the younger generations. He is well-known for his interactive university programmes where he teaches students interviewing skills, business etiquette, communication skills, networking, career management and leadership. 

 

Outside work Denis is a family man with a passion for sports. He represents Hong Kong in international waterskiing competitions winning Gold for Hong Kong at the 2023 Asian Masters in Malaysia.  He is also currently finishing his Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management.
