Huang Zhihua
My name is Huang Zhihua, and my English name is Dante. I am 16 years old. I was born in Shenzhen. I am from Hong Kong. I am currently in the 11th grade of Shenzhen Meizhong International School.
Growing up in the vibrant land of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, I have not only been immersed in the innovative atmosphere of Shenzhen, but also carried the multicultural heritage of Hong Kong. Such a growing environment has made me have a strong curiosity and desire to explore the world since I was a child. In terms of academics, I have always maintained a rigorous and serious attitude, especially in the fields of science and humanities and social sciences, and strive to make progress in the cultivation of logical thinking and humanistic literacy.
In addition to classroom learning, I am particularly keen to participate in various disciplines and practical competitions, challenge myself and broaden my horizons in different arenas. I once participated in the Asdan drone competition. From the assembly and debugging of drones to flight control, every link requires accurate calculation and a calm mentality. The experience of repeatedly testing and constantly optimizing the scheme in the field not only improved my hands-on ability and problem-solving ability, but also made me experience the joy of scientific and technological practice. .
I also went to Xinjiang to stand in the Xinjiang Ski Cup. On the silver-covered snowy road, the cold wind is intertwined with the speed of speed. Every turn and every glide is a double test of courage and skill. This game made me jump out of my comfort zone, learned to face challenges in the ice and snow world, and also let me enjoy the magnificent scenery of the northwest of the motherland.
In addition, I also participated in Harvard's simulated United Nations activities. In the meeting of the simulated United Nations, I discussed and consulted on international hot issues side by side with peers from all over the world. In this process, I not only exercised my English oral expression and public speech skills, but also learned to look at the world from multiple perspectives, understand the logic behind different positions, and cultivated my international vision and sense of responsibility.
These rich experiences, like the cornerstones on the road of growth, make me constantly clarify my direction in exploration. In the future, I hope to continue to maintain this love and enthusiasm, and constantly settle myself in learning and practice. I also look forward to having the opportunity to meet more like-minded partners and move forward side by side on the road of growth.

Dear Huang Zhihua,
On behalf of the Hong Kong homeschool community and the many educationally marginalized students and families we serve, I want to express my deepest gratitude for your invaluable contribution.
Your compassion and dedication have brought light and hope to our homeschoolers and school dropouts, many of whom face difficult journeys. Through your actions, you have shown what true education means—not only excelling academically, but also living as a whole person who contributes meaningfully to society, especially to those crying out for help in our city.
I still remember the joy you sparked during the Homeschool Hong Kong Science Museum visit. The smiles on the faces of our marginalized students were unforgettable. Your passionate volunteering empowered our homeschoolers and school dropouts to explore, learn, and even play together. Those moments of laughter and discovery were possible because of your presence and encouragement.
You have reminded us all that education is not confined to textbooks or exams. It is about nurturing hearts, inspiring minds, and uplifting those who need support the most. Your example of service and compassion continues to inspire both students and families in our community.
Thank you for being a beacon of hope and for showing us that one person’s kindness can transform many lives. We are proud to have you as one of our secondary school student honorary members, and we look forward to witnessing the continued impact of your generosity and leadership.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Dr. Lai Mei Kei Vivien
On behalf of the Hong Kong Homeschool Community
